CNC handguard made of 7075 aluminum alloy with hard anodizing designed for Vz. 58 rifles with a standard barrel length of 390 mm.
After taking over the Gundocthor project, we are releasing the first product - our modernized version of this handguard.
The handguard follows the width of the main frame and features a stainless steel heat shield inside that reflects the radiant heat of the barrel. There are three full M-LOK slots on its lower side for installing a grip or other accessories. These slots also help air flow for better barrel cooling.
The upper part is equipped with a low-profile ten-groove picatinny rail, which is fully embedded in the contour of the handguard. This improves the ergonomics of the grip and does not interfere with the sight picture. The picatinny rail is positioned close to the barrel axis, allowing for the installation of a small Aimpoint T1 red-dot while providing a good view of the mechanical sights through the red-dot. Thanks to the set screws, the upper part of the handguard does not move and thus holds perfect zero even after repeated removal and reattachment of the handguard. To keep the monolithic design, we have reinforced the forks at the front (see photo 4), making them much more resistant to heat during sustained firing.
On the sides, you will again find three full M-LOK slots for attaching additional accessories. Their higher placement does not interfere with a comfortable grip.
With this handguard, your rifle will not stay behind even the most up-to-date weapons. At the same time, we placed emphasis on preserving the classic look and continuity with the existing design elements of the original weapon.
The photos show renderings and a 3D-printed prototype.
